SUMMARY:Nossan Light Festival in Grästorp
DESCRIPTION:Nossan Ljusfestival is a health-promoting event with exciting and pleasant elements for both body\, soul\, eye\, ear and mouth. The surroundings of the Nossan watercourse will be spectacularly illuminated along a stretch of just over two kilometers. Along the walking trail\, in addition to the various light objects\, you will also meet ghosts in the ghost forest …. \nIn the idyllic Forshall\, entertainment and refreshments are offered every evening. On the large and small stages\, this year’s guest artists perform while the restaurateur offers an interesting menu with full rights.  \nAll work before and during the festival is carried out voluntarily by the nearly 200 members of the Grästorp Future Association. The event is mainly financed by sponsorship revenue from local businesses\, lotteries and a symbolic entry fee.  \nPreparations for the big party in the fall have started! Many have tried their luck here and maybe you have what it takes to complete one of our challenges. Once inside\, the adventure of a lifetime begins and be sure to follow the map… You don’t want to get stuck!    \nIn the middle of the countryside outside Vara are our pig farms Stommen Long and GP Farm\, both run by me Marie-Louise and my husband. Here you will find our 9-hectare corn maze (equivalent to 18 football fields). Every year we draw up a completely new design so visitors can come year after year.   \nChoose between going the long way round\, the short way round or looking for letters! \nWe are open in the Corn Maze on Friday\, Saturday & Sunday: August 29-31 and throughout September\, 11-18 \nOur Café cart is open! There are sausages with bread and coffee to buy on site every day!  \nThe farm shop is open every day 08-20

SUMMARY:Ceramics course
DESCRIPTION:Ceramics course\nDuring 3 days we spend time creating in clay with Agneta at Hillestorps Krukmakeri. Her pottery workshop is beautifully located in the countryside outside Tumleberg in Vara municipality. On this course you get to try several different techniques such as ringing\, rolling\, turning and tumbling.   \nThe course runs for three consecutive days and the group is kept small so that everyone is helped through the different stages. The course is aimed at both beginners and those with previous experience of creating in clay.  \nDay 1: we start with an introduction where different techniques are shown and simple coffee. We go through rolling\, tumbling\, ringing and turning. There are 3 turning disks\, 2 electric disks and 1 kick disk. Then it is free choice of technique. Turning is an art. The course leader Agneta sits next to you and helps you through the turning moments when you turn the first time. Then you will get help with centering so that you can get started\, then you work independently on the turning disc and Agneta is there to give tips and advice.       \nDay 2: we work on and try different techniques. \nDay 3: we take care of what we’ve already created; polish and “send” the turned and it is free to continue creating something based on the techniques we learned. \nThe hours are 10:00 – 16:00 on all three days. \nWhat is included? 3 day course including clay firing\, glazing and glaze firing of what you have made. It also includes coffee\, lunch during the three days and supper and breakfast on two occasions. Accommodation of your choice for 2 nights.   See below for information on accommodation options. \nWhat do you need to prepare?\nBring casual clothes and shoes. \nPrerequisites and age\nNo prior knowledge required.
