Lights in Alingsås

Lights in Alingsås is back from October 2 to November 1, 2026, and this year the light festival centers on the theme “Stories of Love.”

The theme is rooted in love in all its forms. The grand, epic love we recognize from books and movies, but also the more everyday love for family, friends, pets, and people who mean a little extra to us. How this year’s lighting designers choose to interpret the theme will remain a secret until the opening on October 2.

During the festival, parts of Alingsås are transformed into an atmospheric evening stroll filled with light installations, stories, and unexpected settings. It’s a truly lovely fall outing from Stora Djupsås, especially when darkness starts to fall earlier and you’re looking for something out of the ordinary.
